The demand for Temporary Accommodation in the UK increased by 62% between 2018 and 2023, with the estimated national spend reaching £1.8billion in 2023. This has left Councils across the UK struggling to find appropriate accommodation options, and often paying a premium rate for sub-optimal services.

To assist with this challenge, ​​CPRAS are currently developing a Temporary Accommodation Open Framework to help Local Authorities across the UK access improved services and save money. The Framework will utilise the new Open Frameworks option from the Procurement Act 2023 to ensure an adaptive service that can keep up with changing demands.

The Framework will be hosted on the CPRAS Procurement Platform and accessible to all UK Local Authorities, free of charge and with no usage obligations. The Platform features an in-built collaborative space for LA's to share best practice, and provides the opportunity to share feedback about experiences with suppliers.

All suppliers will be vetted by our award-winning due diligence service prior to joining the Framework, and the Framework will offer advanced KPI reporting features to enable greater oversight and on-going project management for this critical service.

Local Authorities can register their interest now to participate in the development of the PIN and ITT, or to be notified when the Framework is live.​​​
